Global Underwater Cable System

We all know Wall Street love affair with the limit on the speed of the universe.  Below is an still image followed by interactive map highlighting the globe's underwater cable system.  Aside from the absurdity of using drones, Wall Street is expected to take this further than just a few cables under the water.  I'd expect within a short enough time period that civilians will be forced to wear a Tradeworx chip so we can transfer trade signals faster, or something pathetically absurd like that.  They'll have the money to do it too, the SEC is practically pissing it away on MIDAS.
