DSK Food For Thought

DMS is in jail for rape.  Reports have said that he is kept in a building on Riker's meant for people with diseases and in need of suicide watch.  What the hell do we have criminals on suicide watch for?  I'm just waiting for someone to put a bullet in his head and bury him at sea.  This is insane.  Just let this cock-sucker kill himself.  I'm not down with flipping the bill for someone that wants to die, are you? And if you think this is a valid argument, I'd beg to differ.  We can beat them to death (with our contract killers, the ones that offed OBL preferably) or shoot them.

This isn't rocket science.   The Denver-Post reported "It cost an average of $23,876 to imprison someone in 2005, the most recent year for which figures were available. But state spending varies widely, from $45,000 a year in Rhode Island to $13,000 in Louisiana".  Would you like to pay $23,876 toward food, an officer working overtime, housing, recreation, and an education for someone who committed a crime that wants to die?  I bought my car for slightly more than that and the utility is far easier to quantify.  It is even illegal for someone to attempt to kill themselves..."Any person who, with intent to take his own life, commits upon himself any act dangerous to human life, or which if committed upon or toward another person and followed by death as a consequence would render the perpetrator chargeable with homicide, is guilty of attempting suicide"(Link).  We are beginning to see (a) that the gov't thinks they own us and (b) that they have a vested interest in us as their slaves because we make their lives easy.  The shear fact that we even need to discuss this in our "advanced" society is mind-boggling.  The answer is simple.  No one owns you (even the religions of the world admit their gods own them).  Each person is responsible for their own life.  If a person who commits a crime wants to or is believed to be keen on committing suicide, society should not be forced to pay for those services, instead the perps ought be taken out back and terminated.

These guys we "vote" for are just wasting money left and right yet they bitch about the cost of putting someone to death.  If you haven't seen it yet, this guy sums it up.
