Time to step back and appreciate the fact that the viewership of Calibrated Confidence is intelligent. I've discovered this world is one big fake ass screen play. Christians with false fronts, American's with false outrages, lies and more lies at every political election, claims to aid human rights fights in Libya while ignoring Darfur, manipulated data to support a viewpoint, all off this, its all fake and bullshit not for me.
Three of ten Americans will fail to graduate college with a diploma. These "wealth disadvantaged" children, usual born illegitimately, are the ones who vote for the idiots we have running the show now. These people have a vote that counts as much as mine. I can respect the view that everyone is equal, except for the fact we aren't. From a Biblical perspective, God says in Hebrews 13:17 "Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you" I would be willing to let government do what it needs, I did so for years, but its not going to fly anymore, especially since their joy comes at my enslaved expense. I'm not going to speculate on what God thinks, I'll just say these assholes appointed leaders in authority are not getting away with it anymore. Either they are disobeying God or He doesn't exist and clearly had no dealings in appointing them to positions of authority, either way I'm waging my war (for the record, God is my Authority. I respect Him over the courts).
These are the same dicks appointed leaders that manipulate your emotions every year, play by the same "make the story personal" play book so that people watching at home can pretend like they really give a rats ass about Haiti. We live in a country where people send a text for $5 to help someone instead of getting off their fat, stupid, lazy, drone like asses and doing something about it. These people just go through their pathetic routines, making some comment about how lucky they are or unlucky someone else is, as if the emotion is real, then go off to work, ever excited to begin the routine they have participated in for decades. No one thinks anymore, maybe Apple could make an App for that. The complexities of our brains are not desired by the popular masses anymore. Future generations will ponder such wondrous thoughts like "what came first, the human or the App?"
